Queensland Minister for Health, The Hon. Lawrence Springborg MP made a return visit to IMB and his first stop was the Fairlie laboratory to learn about drug discovery, obesity and diabetes research. He was joined by Queensland Minister for Science & Technology, Innovation and The Arts, The Hon. Ian Walker MP. Among others in the entourage were Professor Peter Høj, President and Vice-Chancellor, UQ; Professor Deborah Terry, Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor, UQ; Professor Max Lu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), UQ; and Professor Brandon Wainwright, Director, Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB).
